Bike Rack

I spotted this bike rack on my wanderings the other day, and it looks like it hasn't been used yet. I'm sure that won't last long in this city. Everybody rides a bike!

Glass Ornaments

I love the way it looks like these glass ornaments are hanging from the underside of the Granville Street Bridge. As Laura and I were looking through this store, I turned and looked out the front window and the illusion jumped at me, I grabbed the camera, and snapped!

Painted Pony

I love this old carousel horse that is in front of this garden shop on Granville Island. We had a great day there yesterday and I took lots of cool photos.

Mural Part 2

Kind of a weird angled shot as the windows are up really high above the bistro. The windows are very inviting and one of these days I gotta try some food there!

Mural

I love this little mural that is painted on the window of one of our small local bistros. Tomorrow I will post the scene that is painted on the other window.

St. Mary's Church

I love checking out what is above me when I walk along. I have to be careful not to trip on the sidewalk! There are some great looking churches in our area.

Grass Tuft

Sometimes something as simple as a tuft of grass in the rocks catches my eye. I love the different colours and textures that you can see here.

Street Music

This street musician is one of my favorite characters from our neighbourhood. He comes and plays outside of "Shoppers" on sunny days. He is always smiling and happy, and his beautiful steel drum music makes everybody dance.

Lillies

This is photo I took last summer at Queen Elizabeth Park. I haven't had my camera out for a couple of days, so had to go into my archives. Hopefully I will get out there today and take a few new pictures.

Dogwood

This is our neighbourhood Dogwood Tree. It is located on the west side of the building Neil lives in, and the only way I could get this shot was to walk out onto our roof.

Blossom

This is a macro shot of the same Magnolia tree I showed yesterday. I was able to frame it up nicely with a new photo program I found with a little help from my friends.

This Magnolia tree is located at our Community Center and is just massive! It looks so beautiful this time of year.

In Honour of Vimy Ridge

Tulips

Bright and springy tulips. Red and yellow tulips are my favourite ones to draw and pain with my watercolour pencils. The colours bleed so nicely into one another.

Egg Wreath

I like this window display with the softness of the eggs contrasting with the grapevine wreath. The colours are so soft.

Fairy

I found this little fairy girl, right here on my very deck! I am reading a book called Stardust by Neil Gaiman, which inspired me to have a look for the little creatures.

Looking Down

I didn't get out of the apartment today and realized I hadn't taken a photo, so had to find something on deck so to speak. I leaned way over my front deck and snapped a shot between these two brick walls.

Tulip

I love tulips. Their colours are so vibrant and beautiful. I had to use this picture today, because my batteries in my camera were dead and I couldn't take a new photo.

Church

The church that is near my apartment is really a beautiful building. I have a hard time getting a really good shot, but I liked the peeling paint on the shutters here.
