Wall mural

This is a mural, which is painted on a wall in our main shopping area. I think it is very well done.

Peeling paint

This reminds me of the dried up mud puddles I used to be fascinated with as a kid. I had to refrain from starting to pull the pain off this garage wall and take a picture instead.

Silver heart

I had some fun tweeking the colours on my photo program with this one. I spied this little silver heart nestled in the crook of this tree. I took a photo of it a year ago, and then snapped another a couple of days ago. It has been there for over a year in the exact same place. I always wonder why it's there. Is this a special place for a couple?

Favorite Tree

This is one of my favorite trees in our neighborhood. It's rather difficult to get a good shot of it from the sidewalk as it is so massive and I was a bit reluctant to stand in the middle of the street. I love the base of the tree, and the different levels of the branches. There is a nice little spot right there, where I can imagine myself sitting with a friend and watching the day go by. Funny though, I have never seen any kids sitting there. It would be the perfect spot if you ask me.

Lamp

This is the lamp outside of Neil's building. I have always thought it was a beautiful fixture and look at it every time I walk by.

Shoes on a wire?

When Donna and I were out for a walk, she happened to look up as we passed a power line, and there was a pair of runners. I of course found a photo op.

Toad Lives!

I like graffiti and every now and again I come across something that makes me laugh. I am happy to know that toad does indeed live. I was beginning to wonder what happened to him.

February 21 - Fake Dog

This is the kind of dog I need! No walking, feeding or vet bills. It just sits there all pretty like on it's nice little cushion in it's fashionable leopard-skin print coat!

I have GOT to get out and take some new photos. Taking pictures inside is a little tiresome, however this is a BEAUTIFUL rose and still smells wonderful.

I couldn't resist this photo as it really looks like the head of a pig to me. I love the neat driftwood you find at the beach.

Driftwood Character

I happened upon this piece of art at the beach that someone had propped up against a piece of driftwood. I think it has real character. I especially love the pinecone ears.

I snapped this outside a local flourist shop. There were a bunch of beautiful bouquets in baskets out the sidewalk. I love the tulips in particular.
