New Shoes

This makes me laugh! Neil and his buddy each bought a new pair of shoes, then traded one white shoe for a black and put in these funky laces. I love the effect! Think they'll start a new trend?

Trip to the Bookstore

Donna's favorite place to be is surrounded by books and what could be better than the annual sale at our local store? She was positively vibrating! The greatest way to spend all that birthday money.

Lonesome Lily

I think someone must have dropped this flower in the garden on their way into the house. It looked so lonely laying here on the ground, but the colour certainly spruced up the dead garden.

Gate Adornments

I saw these cherubs on top of a gate as I was walking in the neighborhood. I wish I was a little taller so I could have gotten a better picture. I did like the weathered look of them.

Coloured Glass

The colours of these glasses melded together so beautifully and reminded me of the big lollipops we used to have when we were kids. Remember those?

Rooftop View

Looking out over the rooftops I was captivated watching the steam and smoke moving through the air.

It was so beautiful and spring-like today I managed to get out for a nice long walk. I saw this unique gate across a driveway and just had to snap a picture.

January 18 - Bird ornament

This is another kind of bird I found in our neighborhood. It was kind of hard to get a good shot as I didn't want to go barging into the yard so had to navigate the camera around the hedge. I love the weathered look of the metal.

Birdie Num Num

I loved the look this bird gave me as I snapped his picture, as if he was wondering what the heck I was doing disturbing his lunch. My neighbor leaves bird seed along his railing to feed the birds during the long winter months, especially now since we have snow.

January 16 Snowy Tracks

I love these railroad tracks in our neighborhood. There hasn't been a train run down here for years, but it leaves our area with a nice long stretch of green space and some great trails to go for a nice, quiet long walk in the middle of the city.
